Welcome to my humble web page (the page is humble, but it doesn't nessecarily follow that I am, though).
I'm Neil Muller, currently employed at the University of Stellenbosch as post-doctoral research/network admin/general whatever. I am also heavily involved with the development of the new proton patient positioning system at iThemba Labs.
I completed my PhD here in 2000 (supervised by Prof Herbst). My thesis title was Facial Recognition, Eigenfaces, and Synthetic Discrimant Functions and a copy of my thesis (postscript form) can be downloaded from my collection At some later stage, I will put up more information.
I have given some talks on various occasions
Talks I given to the Cape Town Python User Group (CTPUG). Details can be found here
Talks I given to the Cape Linux User Group (CLUG) can can be found here
Other slide and talk sets are available here
Due to my involvement with the iThmeba Labs project, my office hours are changeable. Currently (April 2006), my schedules looks something like
| Day | Where I'll be |
| Mon | iThemba Labs |
| Teu | iThemba Labs |
| Wed | iThemba Labs |
| Thurs | iThemba Labs |
| Fri | University of Stellenbosch |
| Sat & Sun | You have got to be kidding me |
Copies of some of my stuff can be found here
More details about myself (such as I'm willing to provide) can be found here
Various miscellanous items will sometimes appear here. This is mainly a test case, nothing fancy.
