Playing the Bagpipes (yes, seriously)
Mucking around on computers (big surprise that one)
I'm keen on experimenting with various games. I suffer from a recent addiction to Cheapass Games. Musings on the games can be found under my writing section.

SULUG - the Stellenbosch University Linux User Group. I've been involved with this for some years, and have acted as webmaster for the wiki for a while. A useful resource (I hope) for students and staff of Stellenbosch University (contributions from outside the university also welcome)
CLUG - The Cape Town Linux User Group. A LUG for the greater Cape Town area. I'm a sporadic poster on the lists, can be occasionally found on the IRC channel, where I masquerade as an annoying know-it-all. My comments on #clug, unless otherwise noted, are dual licensed as CC-BT-SA (v 2.5) and GPL (version 2 or later).
The Linux Documentation Project - A very useful resource.
I read far too many of these.
For the curious, more info, including a list generated from my bookmarks can be found here
